ULI Next

ULI Next

Quick Application
Current Participants

The goal of ULI Austin’s NEXT Initiative is to actively engage members who are generally within the 35-45 age range in meaningful leadership, educational, and a network building activities group.

Guided by a Steering Committee, NEXT “Flights” will hold meetings on a monthly basis, incorporating presentations of topical interest to its members for the purpose of promoting candid discussion from a diversity of perspectives. In addition, NEXT will promote opportunities to participate in existing ULI Austin programs such as the TAP program, UrbanPlan and national product councils. Through the NEXT Initiative, participants will find meaningful ways to remain active ULI Austin members during their rise to leadership positions within the industry.

A Flight will convene for breakfast or lunch on predetermined dates at a central location in the Austin area. Approximately 9 sessions will be scheduled throughout the calendar year, taking a break during the summer months. Members will be required to attend at least 75% of the sessions, and to actively participate in presenting and/or facilitating one or more of those sessions. In an effort to keep the Flight small and personal, additional flights will be added and seeded appropriately as demand warrants. Each Flight is self-directed and the topics for each session are selected by NEXT members.

In order to foster an engaging atmosphere, NEXT has a selection process to identify members for each flight to insure a diversity of professional sectors and interests.

Applications will be available this summer.

New Flights will form every 3 to 6 months, beginning in 2017, depending on interest.

Participants must:

  • Be a current ULI Member
  • Be in a leadership position within your firm
  • Generally be within the age of 35-45 (but not limited to that age range)
  • Attend 75% of meetings
  • Commit to paying for expenses related to one (1) of the Flight’s monthly meetings
