Technical Assistance Panel (TAP)

ULI Austin was retained to help the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department review opportunities to redevelop the Seaholm Intake Facility on Cesar Chavez and Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin.  More specifically, the City was looking for guidance on how to blend commercial and public uses at the facility and how to effectively pay for any improvements given the lack of funds available to the Parks and Recreation Department.

Report

A Report was delivered to the Parks and Recreation Department in April 2014 that included several recommendations from the Technical Assistance Panel to address the issues.  A copy of the report can be downloaded from the ULI Austin website at the following link.  The Parks and Recreation Department presented the results to the City Council in May and the recommendations were approved.  ULI Austin is pleased that we were able to assist the process of developing a potential landmark project in the Austin park system.
