Thanks to the support of our members and sponsors, ULI Austin achieved many accomplishments in 2022.

- Increased a strong membership through active member engagement. We have more than 1100 members!
- Provided a full year of in-person programing, with some hybrid options to facilitate participation for those unable to join in-person. This year we had 12 monthly breakfasts, four Greater Austin Regional Luncheons, eight Young Leader Cheers & Chats (a record), three WLI Visiting Leaders and all three of our signature events – Marketplace, Impact Awards, and Game Day.
- Hosted our first Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Exchange Trip, which visited Washington, DC, for multiple tours and an evening of curated conversations with Washington, DC’s WLI.
- Expanded our Local Member Council offerings by adding two topics – Industrial and Resilience & Sustainability – growing our topic offerings to 11 topics. We also split three councils into two flights to maintain small group discussions, placing us at 14 Local Member Councils.
- Successfully held all three of our signature events in person – Marketplace, Impact Awards, and Game Day. Attendance at these events matched pre-pandemic numbers.
- Completed our first year of Building Industry Leaders in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area to educate and mentor high school students on numerous career opportunities in commercial real estate and give them professional skills to become industry leaders and contributing members of their community. Our second year also kicked off this year and we have tripled student participation!
- Developed a memo on Walkshed Considerations by the Transportation Strategic Council to highlight community disconnections to transit, amenities, commercial zones, and municipal services.
- Held a convening of representatives from organizations representing creatives, developers, City of Austin Economic Development staff, and Austin Economic Development Corporation staff and board members to discuss and identify the opportunities and barriers to incorporating creative spaces within developments.
- Performed and released a Net Zero Imperative Technical Assistance Panel for the City of Austin and Austin Energy and hold a breakfast to share the report’s recommendations.
- Hosted two ULInsight events on Facebook as method of providing education beyond our standard programing. These programs covered the 2022 Austin ISD Bond and Street Impact Fees & Transportation Demand Management. These programs are available to watch and reference long term.
