ULI AUSTIN ANNOUNCES 2025 IMPACT AWARD WINNERS
Annual Event Recognizes and Celebrates Projects and People Throughout Greater Austin that Exemplify ULI’s Mission
AUSTIN, Texas – August 28, 2025 – ULI Austin, an education, research and resource organization focused on shaping the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide, has announced the recipients of its 2025 Impact Awards.
The Impact Awards, presented on Aug. 27 at Austin PBS at ACC Highland, recognized and celebrated projects and people throughout Greater Austin that exemplify ULI’s mission. The annual awards include honors in a number of competitive project award categories, as well as people-of-the-year award categories. Serving as the project jurors for this year’s Impact Awards were Theresa Alvarez, President and Chief Executive Officer at Rally Austin; Hon. Rudy Metayer, Attorney, Chamberlain McHaney and City of Pflugerville Council Member Place 4; and Dave Stauch, Senior Principal at CPM Texas and a member of the ULI Austin Governance Committee.

The top individual honor, ULI Austin’s Vision Award, was given to Terry Mitchell, President of Momark Development. Mitchell is heavily involved in the planning and development of various residential and mixed-use real estate developments involving approximately 6,500 residential units and related mixed-uses. Projects include The Austonian, the Denizen, Plum Creek, Chestnut Commons, Edgewick, Gabardine, Macmora Cottages and The Sanctuary Lofts. His focus is largely set upon urban residential or mixed-use projects that create unique communities offering extraordinary lifestyles and distinctive personalities. Prior to his arrival at Momark, Mitchell served in a number of management positions including as Vice President of Milburn Homes (D.R. Horton, Inc. division). He has developed over 20,000 residential units and over $1.8 billion in residential community value during his 20-plus years in real estate. Mitchell is very active in the real estate community. In addition to his contributions to ULI Austin, Mitchell serves as past President of the Real Estate Council of Austin, and on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for 13 years. He has also dedicated a great deal of time and effort to numerous community causes, having served on the Board of Hill Country Conservancy, the Congress for the New Urbanism Central Texas Chapter, and the Austin Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for both HousingWorks Austin and Capital Metro.
