ULI AUSTIN INTRODUCES NEW DISTRICT COUNCIL CHAIR AND ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
AUSTIN, Texas – August 06, 2020 – ULI Austin, an education, research and resource organization focused on providing leadership in the responsible use of land and creating and sustaining thriving communities, today introduced a new District Council Chair and announced its fiscal year 2021 Management Committee.
Vaike O’Grady, Austin Regional Director for Metrostudy-Zonda, will serve as District Council Chair, filling the role previously held by David Stauch, President of Capital Project Management. She becomes the second women to hold this position, joining the late Carey Gunn Venditti.
O’Grady provides expertise to her clients with data, research, analysis, and consulting services related to housing and residential construction. She is a real estate veteran, having worked with developers and homebuilders across five states in a variety of market conditions. Within ULI Austin, O’Grady is known for her energetic involvement in a number of ULI committees. She previously served on the Management Committee when she launched the Communications Committee. O’Grady just finished her tenure as co-chair of the Regional Growth Local Member Council and has participated on the Programs Committee. She was a part of ULI Austin’s Emerging Trends focus group and just shared her expertise as a panelist for the Emerging Trends Luncheon. O’Grady’s enthusiastic involvement with ULI Austin was recently recognized when she was named ULI Austin’s Member of the Year at the 2019 Impact Awards.

In addition to O’Grady’s appointment as District Council Chair, ULI Austin introduced the newest members of its Management Committee for fiscal year 2021. The Management Committee is responsible for the oversight and direction of all District Council activities and for implementing the organization’s strategic plan and mission policies. The group also coordinates initiatives and directives from ULI’s national office. The 2020-2021 Management Committee is focusing efforts on helping diversify the real estate industry, increase education and conversations around building equitable communities and increasing inclusivity within the organization’s membership and leadership. New Management Committee members include:
- Membership Committee Chair – Brad Compere, Capstone Title
- Communications Committee Chair – Kelly Maxwell, CM Constructors
- Special Events Chair – Andrew Grimm, Frost Bank
- ULI NEXT Chair – Jonathan Fleming, KT Civil
- Local Member Councils Chair – Chad Henson, UFCU
These newest members of the Management Committee will join additional committee leaders continuing their current roles for fiscal year 2021, including:
