The newly restored St. Anthony Hotel, San

THURSDAY / JUNE 15

11:30 – 1:00pm / OPENING LUNCH – St. Anthony Hotel
Placemaking + P3s in Downtown San Antonio
San Antonio’s urban growth and development are booming. Hear about it from Lori Houston, Assistant City Manager who oversees SA’s Center City Development Office & Andres Andujar, CEO Hemisfair Park Redevelopment Corp
.
1:15 – 5:00pm / PROJECT TOURS DEPART

1. Suburban Master Planned Development: La Cantera
USAA Real Estate Company executives will host a complete tour of La Cantera including the newly redeveloped Resort & Spa, as well as La Cantera retail, office buildings, and new multi-family apartment homes, touted by ULI for their sustainability innovations.

2. Urban Development: In Town Housing/Multi-Family/Mixed Use
From a law office with a rooftop bar to workforce housing in a 100-year old building, SA’s newest mixed-use developments embody the latest in live, work & play. This tour spotlights the best of San Antonio’s urban core, with a goal of offering modern living space, retail, and restaurants in the heart of downtown.

3. Southtown
Walkability is the key to Southtown, a neighborhood that offers hip eateries, laid-back nightlife, local art studios and galleries, and eclectic residential spaces from lofts to historic homes. This tour will include initial developments at Hemisfair, a historic fire house converted to the latest “it” restaurant, newly constructed multifamily condos and riverside rental units, the Blue Star Arts Complex, the emerging Lone Star Brewery District, and more.

4. Cultural Placemaking
Visit the ULI Global Excellence Award-winning Tobin Center for the Performing Arts and recently redeveloped Witte Museum. This tour also includes an insider’s preview of major placemaking master plans happening at the Alamo and the new Riverwalk emerging on downtown’s west side — San Pedro Creek.

5. Air Force Base Redevelopments: Brooks City Base & Port SA
Transformation of former military bases into hubs of innovation and vibrant work, live, play communities has defined the evolution of Brooks City Base and Port San Antonio. Brooks is a 1,300 acre mixed use development including a solar energy plant, multi-family, office & new medical school and Port SA supports public/private companies in aerospace, cybersecurity, defense operations, transport and advanced manufacturing.

Relax and network with your peers at this ULI Texas Forum Happy Hour. BCLynd execs will talk about the recent transformation of the St. Anthony Hotel using Historic Tax Credits.

This newly redeveloped hot spot serves Mexican fare, signature
dishes and killer maragaritas in a cozy setting with a lush patio and live music.

The 1.3 mile Museum Reach extension of the San Antonio River was completed north of downtown in 2009 and has spawned a flurry of development activity. Pass thru the lock & dam to see it all.

9:00am / FIVE GUIDED ROTATING TOURS AT PEARL
We have truly saved the best for last…Friday is Pearl day! Now arguably the hottest spot in San Antonio, this 22-acre urbanist mecca just north of downtown is the former site of Pearl Brewery. Over the past 10 years, progressive developers Silver Ventures have created a cultural community with 324 apartments, 15 restaurants / cafes, 13 retailers and 18 resident businesses, along with the Culinary Institute and twice weekly Farmers Markets.
