Austin City Council Direction on the Land Development Code Revision - ULI Code Rewrite Workgroup Comments
ULI Austin is pleased to announce our next District Council Chair will be Vaike O’Grady with Metrostudy-Zonda. Vaike, who has enthusiastically accepted the position, will serve a two-year term as chair beginning July 1, 2020. She is stepping into the Chair-Elect role immediately.
As Austin Regional Director for Metrostudy-Zonda, Vaike O’Grady provides expertise to her clients with data, research, analysis and consulting services related to housing and residential construction. Vaike is a real estate veteran, having worked with developers and homebuilders across five states in a variety of market conditions. She started her career at the Home Builders Association of Maryland, then moved on to hold various sales and marketing roles in Maryland and in Florida with The Ryland Group. After working with a local Florida homebuilder, Vaike joined Newland Communities, leading marketing strategies and execution for master-planned communities throughout the Southeast. Vaike moved with Newland to Austin in 2010, where she led marketing efforts for the award-winning communities of Teravista, Falcon Pointe, and most recently, Rancho Sienna. She joined Metrostudy in 2016.
Within ULI Austin, Vaike is known for her energetic involvement in a number of ULI committees. She currently serves on the Advisory Board and previously served on the Management Committee when she launched the Communications Committee. Vaike just finished her tenure as co-chair of the Regional Growth Local Member Council and has participated on the Programs Committee. She was a part of ULI Austin’s Emerging Trends focus group and just shared her expertise as a panelist for the Emerging Trends Luncheon. Vaike’s enthusiastic involvement with ULI Austin was recently recognized when she was named ULI Austin’s Member of the Year at the 2019 Impact Awards.
ULI Austin would like to thank current District Council Chair, David Stauch, founder and managing principal of Capital Project Management, for his leadership. He continues to lead our district council with a focus on increasing member value and highlighting member impact. His hard work and guidance has helped ULI Austin grow and further connect with many Central Texas cities.
