WLI Market Exchange

In Spring 2022, ULI Austin made its first WLI Market Exchange trip to Washington, D.C. where a group of 20 female CRE professionals from Austin visited commercial real estate projects and developments, including the Navy Yards, Capitol Riverfront District, Union Market, Signal House, City Ridge, and Grimke School Redevelopment. Participants also enjoyed an engaging evening of curated conversations with female members from ULI Washington, D.C.

In Spring 2024 we’ll be hitting the road again – this time to The Big Easy!  Join us April 29-May 1, 2024 in New Orleans.

Up to 24 women will be selected to attend on behalf of ULI Austin, representing a diverse range of expertise, experience, and specialization.

FEMALE MEMBER ONLY EVENT

The WLI Market Exchange is a curated trip for female CRE professionals with a breadth of backgrounds to experience a U.S. real estate market different from their own. The goal of the program is threefold:

  1. Build connections with other WLI groups outside the home District Council and foster stronger relationships inside and outside the region in which we work;
  2. Create opportunities for women in commercial real estate to network and participate on a national scale; and,
  3. Observe the trends and driving forces present for CRE in an outside market, which may be applicable to the Austin Metro area.

The trip will feature site visits to a diverse group of commercial real estate projects and developments; networking opportunities with female members in New Orleans; and a jointly organized evening of content focused on ideas and learnings applicable to both Austin and New Orleans.

COST

Participants are responsible for their own flights and hotel (The Windsor Court room block is $289/night for spacious luxury suites with 1 king or 2 queen beds, suitable for double occupancy)

Registration fee includes local transportation in and around New Orleans, one dinner, two lunches, all tours, and a joint evening networking event with female members from WLI Louisiana

• Deadline to apply: Friday, February 20.

• Registration fees are due at the time of application. Applicants who are not selected will have their payment refunded.

• Applicants will be notified of selection no later than Tuesday, February 27.

• Up to 25 women will be selected to attend on behalf of ULI Austin, representing a diverse range of expertise, experience, and specialization.

• Tours will include significant walking within projects and through districts.

  • Cancellations and refund requests must be submitted by March 25, 2024. Cancellations made March 1 – March 25 will be refunded less a $75 application fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations after March 25.
