All Austinites are invited to register for 15 stimulating talks, tours, and socials happening during Better Streets Week, Oct. 25-31. Inspiring national and local speakers will talk about:
- How Austin streets can work better and become better places for people and our city
- How Austin streets can become safer and healthier, friendlier for people walking and biking, greener and more vibrant?

Organized by Austin Transportation Department, Better Streets Week events are being co-hosted by over two dozen community nonprofits, professional groups, and City departments. The talks offer all Austinites the opportunity to hear great speakers from the exciting NACTO Designing Cities 2015transportation conference – in Austin Oct. 28-31 – at which larger cities from across North America gather to discuss better city streets and mobility networks.
ATD thanks the many City departments that are helping to sponsor or co-host NACTO conference and Better Streets Week events, including Planning and Zoning (Urban Design, Imagine Austin Speaker Series), Public Works, Development Services, Economic Development (Cultural Arts), Office of Sustainability, Watershed Protection, Capitol Planning Office.
