    President-elect Joe Biden has laid out an ambitious climate action plan, including a commitment to decarbonize the power sector by 2035, get to “zero net energy buildings at zero net cost”, and invest more than $1.7 trillion in decarbonization over the next ten years.

    What will the Biden climate plan mean for real estate development, investment, and infrastructure? How will these regulations, tax incentives, federal procurement policies, and infrastructure investments help sweeten the business case for net zero buildings and net zero infrastructure?     Chief Initiatives Officer, Urban Land Institute

    Billy Grayson is the Executive Director for the Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance at the Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit education and research organization that focuses on land use, real estate and urban development. As Executive Director for the Center for Sustainability, Mr. Grayson manages a team leading programs on climate risk and resilience, health and wellness, and building energy and environmental performance. ULI works with members, community leaders, coalition partners, and other key stakeholders to build awareness around sustainability issues in the built environment, and to provide our members with the tools and resources they need to cost-effectively drive sustainability into their projects and operations.

    Brad Dockser is Green Generation’s CEO/Co-Founder. GreenGen transforms the world's built environment through visionary innovation and solutions by integrating energy, real estate, technology, and capital markets to Operate in the Green. Brad was Co-Founder/Managing Director for Starwood Capital Group’s international operations and Principal with MacFarlane Partners. He began his career at JMB Realty and CRI. Brad received an A.B. cum laude Economics and MBA from Harvard University. Brad serves on the global advisory board for ULI’s Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance. He is Co-Chair of ULI’s Sustainability Initiative in DC and Chair of ULI’s Redevelopment and Reuse Product Council.

    Global Co-Chair, Gensler

    Diane is one of two Gensler Co-CEOs. As both an MIT-trained architect and holding an MBA from the Andersen School at UCLA, Diane’s career has spanned Architecture, Design, Real Estate, and Business. Diane has broad responsibility in running the firm’s day-to-day operations, which span across 50 offices in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She is Co-Chair of Gensler’s Board of Directors and serves on the CEO councils for the Wall Street Journal, Fortune and Forbes. Diane is Global Governing Trustee for the Urban Land Institute and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council on Cities and Urbanization as well as the Real Estate Industry Action Group.

    Amy Erixon

    Global President, Investment Management, Avison Young

    Amy Erixon is an industry expert in cross border investing, real estate technology, greening strategies and smart cities. She founded and leads Avison Young’s Global Investment Management practice, which is active across all major and select speciality property types in North America and Europe. Prior to joining Avison Young, she was CEO of IGRI, a full-service development and investment firm that built the first LEED-certified projects across Canada in the mid 2000s. With more than 35 years of industry experience, she has acquired, developed and repositioned portfolios valued in excess of $9 billion, and completed large-scale rezoning and development projects in numerous North American cities. Amy Erixon serves as an educational counsellor for MIT and sits on the Ontario Board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada.  She is a member of Avison Young’s Executive Committee. A graduate of MIT in city planning and real estate development, she is an active speaker, blogger and publisher of topical reports and white papers.
