    Phyllis Snodgrass, CEO of Austin Habitat for Humanity, has been a leader in community engagement across Central Texas for over to decades and has been firmly committed to positive change for families and communities in Austin and throughout Texas. Under her leadership, Austin Habitat for Humanity has continued supporting more families in need despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, and escalating homebuilding costs, has significantly advanced its community advocacy, supported increased public funding for affordable development and advocated strongly for land-use reforms to remove outdate barriers to affordable housing creation. Before becoming the CEO of Austin Habitat for Humanity seven years ago, Phyllis has been in various leadership roles at multiple Chambers of Commerce supporting the state's thriving business culture. Phyllis will share her career experience, discuss challenges and opportunities she sees in solving the affordable housing issue and how to grow into strong leaders that can make a positive impact to the community.
